Wellbeing Hub

It's okay to not be okay about any of this.

Energy bills, debt, supplier disputes, caregiving — they pile up. You don't have to carry it on your own. This is a moderated peer support space where people use anonymous handles to share what they're going through, and find people who genuinely understand.

What this space is

  • People sharing real experiences, anonymously
  • Moderated to keep it kind and safe
  • A place to feel less alone with money & energy stress
  • Signposted to NHS, Samaritans, Citizens Advice when needed

What this space isn't

  • Professional medical, legal, or financial advice
  • A crisis service or replacement for emergency care
  • A place to share names, addresses, or identifying details
  • A platform for anyone to sell, switch, or upsell anything

Find people who get it

Pick a topic that fits where you are. Each space is moderated, anonymous, and designed for peer support — not advice.

Mental Wellbeing

For when the stress of bills, suppliers and money weighs on your head. Anxiety, low mood, sleep problems, just feeling overwhelmed — share what's going on with people who get it.

Peer support, not advice. If you're in crisis, call Samaritans on 116 123 or NHS 111.

Debt & Financial Stress

When the numbers don't add up and the letters keep coming. Talk through what's happening with people who've been there — payment plans, prepayment meters, knowing your rights, what helped them get through it.

Peer support, not financial advice. For debt help, contact StepChange (free) or Citizens Advice.

Burnout

For when you've been running on empty too long. Work, life, admin, money, all stacking up — share what burnout looks like for you and hear how others are pulling through.

Peer support, not advice. If burnout is affecting your health, please speak to your GP.

Loneliness

If your world has gone quiet — through age, illness, work patterns, or just life — this is a place to be among people. No pressure, no scripts. Just chat about whatever you fancy.

Peer support, not professional care. For someone to talk to right now, Samaritans are there 24/7 on 116 123.

Grief & Loss

Grief takes shapes you don't always see coming — losing a person, an ability, a home, a relationship. There's no neat process. Share where you are and find others walking similar paths.

Peer support, not bereavement counselling. Cruse Bereavement Support: 0808 808 1677.

Caregiving

For carers — paid or unpaid — looking after children, partners, parents, or anyone else. The energy admin alone can be huge. Talk to people doing the same thing about coping, rights, respite, the lot.

Peer support, not advice. Carers UK helpline: 0808 808 7777.

ADHD

For people with ADHD navigating bills, paperwork, and admin overwhelm. Forgotten direct debits, late payment spirals, executive function on the floor — share strategies that actually work for ADHD brains.

Peer support, not medical advice. For diagnosis or treatment, speak to your GP.

Autism

For autistic people dealing with the sensory and admin load of energy stuff — phone calls that aren't, jargon, unexpected changes, the lot. Share what helps you cope and what really doesn't.

Peer support, not medical or therapy advice. For support, see National Autistic Society.

Housing & Cost of Living

Renters, leaseholders, owners — all caught in different parts of the cost-of-living squeeze. Damp, repairs, rent rises, council tax, energy in flats, landlords. Share what's happening and what helped.

Peer support, not legal advice. For housing rights, see Shelter or Citizens Advice.

Energy & Bills Support

Specifically for the wellbeing side of energy bills — fuel poverty, prepayment meter worries, fear of switching the heating on. Talk to people in the same boat about what's helped and what to ask for.

Peer support, not advice. For grants & help, contact your supplier or Citizens Advice.

How this works

Built carefully so it stays a safe place to be.

01

Pick a handle, stay anonymous

You don't share your real name with the community. Pick a handle when you register and post under that. Anonymous to other members, but accountable to moderation if anything goes wrong.

02

Read first, post when ready

You can read every thread without saying a word. Lots of people lurk for ages before they post — that's completely fine. When you're ready, jump in.

03

Moderated, with a clear line

No harassment, no hate, no dangerous suggestions. Reports are taken seriously. We signpost to professional services whenever a situation needs more than peer support can give.

In crisis right now? Help On Energy is not a crisis service. Call Samaritans on 116 123 — free, 24/7 or NHS 111 for urgent health support
